Hi! I am Beetle, a 7-pound, 4-year-old neutered male Maltese mix.
I am the kind of dog that would fit in most homes. I’m happy to lounge on the couch or go out walking around the neighborhood.
I can get a little grumpy when I’m sleeping on the couch and another dog gets close. When I do this I lose my couch privilege for a while so I’m learning that I have to share. Otherwise I enjoy my dog friends. I don’t really play with them yet but enjoy their company. I also learned that the cat is boss and I shouldn’t be so nosey and try to sniff her!
I’m doing well with house training and have graduated out of my belly band but will need to be taken out regularly to make sure I continue to do well.
I ride ok crated in the car; I cry for a minute but settle quickly.
I can walk well on a leash but enjoy exploring the fenced yard.
I also do great in a crate next to my foster mom's bed at night. The first few nights I cried for a few minutes but now I go in and sleep all night. Foster mom says I’m actually one of the easier dogs she’s had in a while. I have been spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $175.
