Disney in Haiti
We decorated the grounds for the festivities as a reenactment of Disney's theme park. It was so much fun for the children as they interacted with the characters that they may have seen only on television. They were excited and happy to have had a chance to mingle and dance with some of the theme characters. |
Dramatic Play
A walk through the world of Simba from the Lion King brighten up the faces of the children who were victims of a state of famine and devastation. This helped strengthen their hope of recovering and gave them encouragement of rebuilding after a time of disaster. |

The Community
Once the word was out everyone in the neighborhood came to partake in the festivities that was in store for the children. There was so much excitement the crowd kept building but we were ready.

That's Entertainment
The enthusiasm of the young ones was most exhilarating. The children wanted to jump up and join the cast in dancing and singing. What they have only heard of, has come to life for them.

A TalentedCommunity
Haitians are well known for their artistic skills and creativity. This was an opportunity to create unity in the community by coming together and creating such a spectacular event. We were so thankful for those who generously gave their time and talents in making this possible.

The Food Distribution
We gave food and presents to just about every family in the neighborhood. Being part of a mission team for Haiti is truly a life changing experience. All it takes is a desire to serve. |
Gift of Laughter
The festivities was epic. We distributed toys that served the children in the community. The children received their toys, their eyes were widen with excitement. They had a chance to have something they can call their own. Giving a gift not only brings a smile, it also opens the heart to respond to the message of love and experience the real hope that can change their lives. |
